After pleasantries have been exchanged, he will be happy to assist you in any way he can, and then the two of you will head outside where one of our drivers will be waiting in a clean and very modern air-conditioned vehicle. You will then be driven to the 5-Star hotel where you will be staying for the next two nights. You will be assisted with check-in, and you will be offered a free Welcome Drink on us, and then your tour manager will go over your tour itinerary with you, and confirm a pick-up time for tomorrow’s tours. After this, you will have the remainder of the day for yourself to spend as you wish.
Day 2. Private Guided Pyramids and Cairo Tour
Your Egyptian holiday gets under full swing today, so expect today to be a busy day, but also one which you will never forget. Start the day with a fantastic 5-Star Hotel breakfast and shortly after that, we will be heading out to the Giza Plateau to see Egypt’s most iconic attractions, the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx. this tour also includes an admission ticket for the Solar Boat Museum which is located at the site of the pyramids. After exploring the pyramids and the museum, you will then be taken to a good local restaurant for lunch which is also included in your tour. Once you have finished eating, we then move on to another not-to-be-missed attraction, the Egyptian Museum. Nowhere else in the world will you find another museum quite like this one. There are tens of thousands of artifacts on display, all of which document Egypt’s long and incredible history. Your tour also includes admission for the museum’s Treasures Room, a room which has been set aside for displaying the many exquisite artifacts that were recovered from the tomb of King Tutankhamen by Howard Carter in the early 20th century. There is also a special environmentally controlled Mummies Room where you can view real mummies that are thousands of years old, but to gain access to this room, visitors are required to purchase an admission tick at the museum when they visit. Following your visit to the museum, your guide and your driver will then take you to a part of the city which is known as the Islamic Quarter. There is plenty to see here, but because time is limited, we will only be visiting the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar where traders have been trading their ware ever since the bazaar first opened during the 14th century. Finally, after a long and extremely fascinating day, you will be driven back to your hotel where you will be able to enjoy a good night’s rest before you leave for Luxor in the morning. Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch
DAY 3 – Flight to Luxor and Mayfair Nile Cruise Embarkation
Wake up and charge your batteries with another superb breakfast at your hotel, and then at the time that was confirmed by your tour manager, you will be met at the hotel; you will be assisted with check in, and then you will be taken to the airport for your short flight to Luxor. On arrival at Luxor Airport, another one of our tour managers will meet you, and then you will immediately be taken to board the luxurious 5-Star Mayfair cruise ship. After you have checked in and had a good lunch on the boat, you will then enjoy your first sightseeing tour of Luxor shortly. This afternoon’s tour will see you visiting Luxor’s East Bank where you will be taken to see two incredible ancient attractions: Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple. Karnak Temple is essential the ruins of an ancient temple city that grew over a period of more than 2,000 years. Even though most of the city has been destroyed over the years, there is still so much to see. In fact, it is one of the most-visited attractions in Egypt. After your tour ends, you will head back to your cruise ship; you will have some free time for relaxing, and then you will be served a first-class dinner in the evening. Tonight you will be sleeping in your luxury cabin on the tranquil waters of the Nile at Luxor. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
DAY 4 – Luxor Ancient Monuments Tour and Cruise to Esna
With our luxury 8-day Egypt Tour with Nile Cruise, there is never a dull moment, so once you have enjoyed another excellent breakfast, we will be heading out to explore some unbelievable sites on Luxor’s West Bank: Valley of the Kings; temple of Medinet Habu; Dier El Madina, and the Colossi of Memnon. Valley of the Kings is an ancient royal necropolis (burial ground) where royals and high ranking nobles were once laid to rest. It is also where the tomb of King Tutankhamen was discovered by Howard Carter in the 1920s. There are more than 60 tombs at this site, so there is a lot to see while you are here. From here, you will enjoy a visit to the Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III at Medinet Habu. This is a vast site, with the temple alone measuring approximately 150 meters. Apart from it architecture and overall appeal, its walls, which are covered with inscriptions, provide an in-depth understanding of the rise and fall of Ancient Egypt’s Sea Peoples during the reign of King Ramesses III. Your last stop of the day will be at the Colossi of Memnon, and then you will be taken back to your cruise ship in time for another good lunch. After lunch, the vessel will depart from Luxor, and it will then sail to Esna via the Esna Lock. Later in the day, everyone on board the vessel will be invited to enjoy a free cocktail party, and then shortly after that the crew will begin serving dinner. Enjoy a fine dinner and spend the fourth night of your Egypt Tour with Nile Cruise on the water at Esna. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
DAY 5 – Cruise to Kom Ombo with Excursions at Edfu and Kom Ombo
Today your cruise will make an early departure from Esna, and you will be able to enjoy a nice leisurely breakfast on the water while sailing to Edfu. When the vessel reaches Edfu, it will tie up, and you will disembark for a visit to the Temple of Horus which is astonishingly well-preserved due to the fact that it lay buried beneath the desert sand for more than 2,000 years after the Romans abandoned it. After visiting this amazing temple, you will return to the ship, and it will then set sail for Kom Ombo where it will be docking for the night. Lunch will be served along the way, and on arrival, you will disembark, and then you will be taken to see another remarkable ancient temple, the Temple of Sobek. Interestingly, this temple is technically two identical temples that were built as one. The one was devoted to Sobek the crocodile god and creator of the world, while the other was devoted to Haroeis the falcon-headed god who was also known as Horus the Elder. After a wonderful afternoon at this site, you will once again return to the ship, and then you will have some time to relax and unwind before another fine dinner is served up in the evening. Tonight you will be sleeping in your cabin on the water at Kom Ombo. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
DAY 6 – Cruise to Aswan and Aswan Sightseeing Tour
Day 6 of your Egypt Tour with Nile Cruise begins with leisurely breakfast on the water while you are sailing to Aswan, and then when you arrive, you will disembark, and you will be taken to see the incredibly impressive Aswan High Dam which quite literally change the face and future of Egypt forever. Next, you will be taken to visit the truly spectacular Philae Temple, which today sits on a new location, after having being moved in its entirety from lower ground. At one point in Egypt’s past, this temple was one of the most significant places of worship, so great effort was put into saving it from being destroyed forever by the rising waters of Lake Nasser after the Aswan High Dam was completed. After Philae Temple, you will then return to the MayFair for another hearty lunch, and then when you are finished eating you will disembark again, this time to visit a site which doesn’t feature in most of our other Nile cruise packages, the fascinating Nubian Museum. To make this visit even more enjoyable, you will be getting to the museum on a small motorboat. After visiting the museum, the small motorboat will take you back to your Nile cruise liner, and then you will have some free time for relaxing before dinner is served in the evening. Tonight, which is the last night of your cruise, will be spent on the water in Aswan. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
DAY 7 – Nile Cruise Disembarkation and Flight to Cairo
After you have finished enjoying your breakfast, you will have to check out and disembark. One of our tour managers will of course be there to meet you, and they will then escort you to Aswan Airport where you will be boarding a flight to Cairo. On arrival in Cairo, you will again be met at the airport by your tour manager, and you will be driven to the 5-Star hotel where you will be staying for the last night of your Egypt tour with Nile Cruise Tour package. Once you get to the hotel, you will have the remainder of the day to yourself to enjoy as you wish. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
